This was pretty good, a tad confusing at times, but interesting. Good job!

To be honest, this kind of confused me. I felt like it started in the middle of the story and I was just left wondering, what happened? Who are these characters? Who's her father? Where did he com from and why did he leave?

And the nightmare scene, I'm not sure what happened. Yeah. I like the language and the idea of the story, but it's a little confusing. But, I was speed reading, a little. Anyway, keep writing! I hope this goes well.
