Sara is having real trouble with this - especially that everything they do is so public. She needs time to mourn...and mourn privately. Sidney has been extremely patient with her, which I think would be difficult seeing he is dealing with his own feelings as well. But I really think they both mean it when they said they love each other.
i feel sooo bad for the both of them that its not even funny...whoch is odd cuz i am NOT a cosby fan at all...i only read his fanfics cuz theyre like the only ones based on hockey...anyway, UPDATE SOON!!! i loveee this!!!
This chapter was another heartbreaker. Sid has been so attentive to Sara, that he really hasnt had time to deal with things himself. Nor has he and Sara had the opportunity to define their relationship. She is still too consumed with grief, and it appears, guilt.
But to be confronted by the whole team about the baby....that would be devastating. It is not surprising that Sid snapped at Dan. Maybe one of Sid's teammates has been through a similar situation - or Dan might recommend Sid talking to the team psychologist - to help Sid deal with the pain he is going through.
So sad to lose a baby - but it is quite common. It is just devastating to the parents. Especially in this case, where she was 15 weeks - usually miscarriages come in the first trimester - and they had just told everyone.
But it does beg the question Sara asks - their relationship has basically been defined by the pregnancy and now that she is no longer pregnant they will have to find out what their true feelings are for each other.
