The summary could use a little bit work. I found it to be really short and not very attention grabbing, if you get what I mean but I liked the layout as well as the first chapter. Your descriptions are flawless and that worked to your advantage. You know what you want to write and how to make your characters realistic. Your attention to detail is marvelous as well. As soon as I wandered onto this page I was immediately immersed into the theme with the perfect ambiance. The story is very well written, and classy to say the least. It's a an easy read, with the occasional sassy adjectives and perfect word placement to shape Isla into the off-putting world of NYC. Such a breath of fresh air from vampires/Sci-fi.

I love this story so much. It is very well written and the plot is amazing. Your description was great and I could easily imagine everything that was going on. I can't wait to read more and I hope you keep writing :)

I love this story, it's so original and you almost never see that anymore. I also love how it's written so vividly. I can imagine her apartment and finding Darren. And who doesn't daydream a beautiful guy to come sweep you off your feet? Great work, I can't wait to read more.

I have to agree with the other comments. Your story is fantastic. It is amazingly written and very detailed, I didn't expect myself to like it, but I like the idea the concept of it. Please, update it soon :)

this is really good so far. i love the concept. it's kind of like devil wears prada (like it says in the story)/sex and the city but mashed up and twisted.

it flows really well, and i think what it starts off as is like every writer's nightmare (being stuck writing about something that doesn't inspire you), so it definitely had me hooked in. also i love the name isla a lot, it's so pretty ^-^

Your story is fantastic. You are an incredible writer. Isla is a brilliant character, so easy to relate to and so believable. Your descriptions are so vivid and so easy to imagine. Darren is the bad boyfriend we've all had the misfortune to experience and he's written brilliantly. The idea behind this story and the premise upon which it is written are very clever and very cleverly written. I can't wait for more - you're a stellar writer. And I love the contrast between the bustle of New York City and the bright lights of Brighton Beach. Keep writing, you've got a fantastic story going here :)

I've always wanted a typerwriter and i'm kind of jealous, not only of the fact that Iz has one but of the way in which she got it. I'm a fan of the way you create pictures. The most simplest things, events, places can be made extremely powerful with three well thought out play on words. BRAVO ps. i'm a sucker for cutesy but not cliche scenes and will now get a typewriter somehow so i can hopefully pass it down to someone lol :)

I absolutely loved the idea behind this. Not only that but the layout instantly drew me into this story. I am also writing a story about New York, a completely different New York to yours and I haven't read another story on mibba set in the same location, it was really interesting to read your descriptions about it.
