hey i'm back. finally finished reading this. and i must say the sad ending made me love this even more. i know i'm biased because i love angst and sad endings, but they do give stories that touch of realism, so. i guess that's justified.
but i do love Violet for being her broken self. she's very easy to sympathise with, plus tragic characters are my cup of tea. and she also makes me feel like shit because i realise how easy my life is. fuck.
but i like this story all the same.

Absolutely gorgeous . You had me laughing, crying and everything in between . The narration is fantastic and everything about this story is so honest and beautiful . I give a lot of positive feedback, but I truly and whole-heartedly loved this story-- every emotion, feeling and reaction you pulled out of me through this is proof of that . There are no words for me to describe how amazing this story is, but you are a beautiful writer and you deserve all this recognition and more . Stay gold, xobryn

man, i had to stop when i read to the part where Violet came across Frank's photo in the funeral. i just, tears were threatening the fall, like literally. and i'm in the school library, so i just couldn't go on. i'll probably leave another comment when i finish this in another time (presumbably at home). but know this: you almost made me cry with the simplest words. i guess it's because you've written Violet so successfully that I'm too emotionally invested now. no, i'm not kidding.
and it's kinda ironic that I'm currently listening to a song off The Black Parade, right? that album's about death after all. but yeah, not helping. :(
I wish I could meet someone as amazing as Frank (in this story; but also the one irl! haha) someday. he'd be the ultimate gentleman.
oh and i'm babbling now, so i'll leave you with this:
great characterisation, especially with the way you write Violet's thoughts in the beginning, all muddled up with reality. and how that changes throughout the story -- shows us how she's recovering. and i certainly didn't feel bored even though this has the theme of abuse (AGAIN). you wrote it well, very realistic. :)

This story was absolutely amazing. Once I started reading I couldn't stop! It made me cry so much I had to snuggle with my dog to stop. I loved this so much and I only wish I could keep on reading it forever.

I'm glad that this didn't have a happy ending. I'm happy that you kept to the original overall tone, that you reminded me that even after ten years, after happiness and bliss, a person will always be who they always had been before. I hope that makes some sort of sense. This was a wonderful story. I loved reading it.

I love the story and how much detailed you put into Violet's character. The ending breaks my heart but I guess not every story has a happy ending. I would love to read the alternative ending if you're going to post it :)

I woke up and was reading this on my 3DS and oh my gosh I cried and I'd only been awake for five minutes. So sad, but at the same time it's true that depression never truly goes away, it's always just waiting for something else to happen. I loved all of this story, it was amazing, you are an amazing writer :3

honestly, I liked the ending. The only reason I wanted a happy ending was so that there would be a sequel.... I guess that wont be happening....

If I weren't sitting in the middle of a classroom at school, I would be crying. It's so sad but so beautiful at the same time. I'd love to read the alternate ending :)
