I love how Brendon was so loving to Ryan throughout the whole thing. Now once did he get frustrated that Ryan would keep doing that.
That's what you call a loving relationship.
I loved it!

Your beginning and ending lines were both perfect.
That ending brought me up short, as though I'd gotten a wooden plank pressed against my chest. I totally was not expecting it to end that fast, or like that, and it was good.
I think it's good that you don't explore why Ryan doesn't want pretty arms because it allows the reader to fill in the gaps, or to come up with ideas, on their own.
My favorite lines:

“Baby, why scar up your pretty little arms with those silver razors?”

The thing about Brendon, he never, ever said the words cut yourself when he addressed my ‘problem’.

Brendon always referred to me as baby when I did the same stunt.

“Because I don’t deserve pretty arms,” I whispered.

Very sad.
