@ Sincerely-Angela I'm working on several stories at the moment. If you like this one, you may like others of mine. I'm trying to get all of them in a similar time frame so I can go from one to another with little breaks for "ok where am I on this one?" questions.
I forget, is Mari an American citizen or a Canadian? Regardless, as I read it, a Russian citizen can sponsor a relative for up to three months on a home-stay visa. The tourist visa is only good for 30 days.
I've also read something about a multi-entry visa good for 6 months each entry over a three year period for Americans (reciprocal for Russians, too, to the states). Surely she'd need a russian citizen to sponsor but of course, Geno is that. So maybe they'd have to leave occasionally but it sounds like there are options other than a 30-day tourist visa.
@ jazter They have to be married 5 years for Mari and Anna to be able to stay. I really did check this out and that is Russian Law. As is making sure their marriage was filed with ZAGS. As for filing with the embassy in the U.S., That I'm not sure of but it made sense to me.
I really don't understand how Oksana would have any legal claim on Geno's house. If her name isn't on the deed, it's not hers. PA is not a community property state even if they were actually married. I don't understand why they'd offer her (that much) money if she's got no legal leg to stand on.
@ bublbabie It was for the other story, thank you SO much for catching that it was like 4 am when I was posting. I've deleted it from this one and will attempt to post it correctly.
@ messylittleraindr0ps She will indeed suffer but it won't be for a while. When it does come she won't be able to talk her way out of it and it _should_ ruin her. Have patience with the story and faith in me. They are still going to move though, OMG the schools in that area are FAB!
That BITCH. Please don't give her anything! Prove that she didn't help Geno pay for it so that she can't get anything, please, please!! Also, make sure she suffers!
:)
