I enjoyed the premise of the story - the issue of saying "I love you." I think it's a very real issue and it makes for some great drama. Marie's reactions to Michael fit this perfectly.
My only real qualm with the story is you don't describe even a little what they look like. I don't have a picture at all of what any of the characters look like, and that's a problem. Even small hints like a height difference, hair/eye color, things like that can make a world of difference in a story. Pictures posted in the AN are all well and good, but you should take a few words to throw in some description as well.
oh crap! ugh i didn't even think about that....i was so focused on making the story make sense. wow i feel really stupid as a writer right now but thanks for pointing that out as well as reading this, it helps a lot more than you know
