To start, thanks for entering my contest and sorry it’s taking so long to judge!

From the first two little sections of this drabble I was hooked. The images were haunting and so precise and so strong and powerful. I didn’t want to stop reading, I thought wow this is just wonderful. Each movement that you described was so crisp and precise and clean and it made the images vivid.

I enjoyed that it was in the present tense, sometimes when something is written in the present tense it can lose some of its impact and come off a little more passive and not really assert itself. However, you did a fine job of making sure that writing in the present would still give it the impact that it needed. I think that this drabble being in the present tense was great and added an element of uniqueness and it felt like that moment was being lived and it was more than just reading.

What a beautiful piece of work and I liked how it was about a girl who was playing the piano because this felt like a piece of music being played. There was this flow and this hauntiningness through the whole piece, this truly was a piece of art.

Wow. That was...haunting, for lack of a better word. I felt like I could picture a silvery spirit of Abbey's mom behind her while she played the piano. It was such a simple one-shot and I loved that you kept it short and to the point, no lengthy-ness needed. An excellent piece that I loved because I know I would be the exact same way if anything were to ever happen to my mom. Great job on this and man, I can't get over how talented of a writer you are :)
