This is like my story. I don't know how old your character is supposed to be but my story is a sci-fi that starts in a prologue a five year old girl loses her family in a fire and ends up growing up with a group of teenagers with special abilities like her. I got carried away the prologue is a story itself I haven't even gotten to the main part. Please check it out if your interested it's called Volz Legacy
