Oh my god this is lovely. Absolutely lovely. Can I please just marry this piece?

I'm kind of like her. Except, I love flowers, cats, coffee, and "The Great Gatsby"... But yeah... I'm basically. Perhaps a bit nicer but you understand what I'm saying. Oh, and my name is Madison :) I love love love this... Thank you for writing it. <3

    Title and Layout
I liked your title, mostly because it was blunt and got straight to the point, plus I adore Holden. Your layout is incredibly gorgeous and matches the story well.

    Summary
You didn't really mention anything at all about the story, but you included everything I asked so yay! And I loved the chapter title, aha.

    Story Itself
setting a library copy of A Separate Peace set like a tent over my face
I don't think that second "set" should be there.

Now that we got that out of the way, I actually really liked this! You said you don't think you did the quote justice, but I think you did a wonderful job. I think Catcher in the Rye is the only story I've ever read with an unlikable main character, so I really liked that you decided to do that.

I liked your characterization in general actually, it was almost refereshing, in a way.

They say there are two types of people in the world: those who like dogs, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, and coffee, and those who like cats, Catcher in the Rye and tea. I’m clearly the latter.
I loved this line so much! Definitely one of my favourites.

Overall, well done! Thanks for entering this (:

Very cool. You definitely succeed in creating an unlikeable character that is still interesting to read about. I love the literary reference at the end, and how you worked it into an attack on the unlikable character's personality. That was really cool, and it takes meaningful and clever things like that to make a great story.

I liked this a lot! The catcher in the rye is an amazing book. It Definately was a book that impacted my life. Holden is such a relatable charachter, and I liked how you integrated some of the important philosophies from the book out in this.
