I KNEW IT! Thanks for actually going with it, it seemed very true of his character and also super badass and hot and passionate. But that might just be because I read it at 2:30 in the morning... either way the chapter was fantastic!

Haha he actually did kind of beat the crap out of him! James seems like such a creep, but I hope that Austin's realization of what's going on will really help whip Jessica into shape! Oh, and that she gets her head out of her ass enough to realize that he actually loves her!

Ouch. Right in the feels. I love how he's changed and just him calling her his 'wife' is so strange. It's kind of sad how down he gets when she refers to the marriage as 'fake'. He clearly wants it to be much more and I think she knows that but doesn't want to admit it.
I don't know, this chapter is just really really good. :)

Okay. I love this chapter so much. The way Austin and Lena interacted was so cool because of the connection between the stories (because I love all of your stories) and because of the way that Austin defended Jessica. Even though they appear to be at different places in their relationship, she still corrected him and called herself "Gibbs", which was really sweet and perfect. And despite this obviously being sad, I think we all saw that ending coming eventually and the way you set it up was really perfect because it just flowed so smoothly with the change in Austin's feelings and his reaction and Jess's comment about him "warming her up." :)
