Wow, this was a really powerful piece of writing! The depth of detail was fantastic, it really helped me to visualise what was going on :) Kinda reminded me of the Wicker Man, in the way that you built the suspense then delivered the punch to the chest right at the end.
Awestruck, definitely! This was beautifully written despite it not having any dialog. Nevertheless, it was amazing especially when I read the end where she was dragged by her father to the pile. Awesome!
That had me on the edge of my seat throughout it all! I felt so scared for her and I wanted to know what in the world was going on. You write beautifully and you really created a horrifying mood. :) I really enjoyed this and I think it was a great read and I'm definitely recommending this. Keep up the great writing!!
I really loved this entry. It's the first one I've read and commented on so far, but I can easily say that I'm just in love with it. Your descriptions and imagery is so breathtaking, and I can clearly visualize the scenes in my mind. The grammar and spelling were flawless - I think the only mistake I found was one switch between present and past tense! In the third paragraph, the first three sentences were short and choppy, which greatly added to the overall scariness of the story. I think the only confusion I had with your entry is the fact that I was a little confused towards the end. I know it's fairly difficult to make an actual plot from just sparingly a drabble, and I can see that you plainly wrote this from your heart and inspiration. But it was a little confusing and I don't know if it was supposed to add to the mystery, or I'm basically missing something. Otherwise, I very much enjoyed reading it. You wrote this phenomenally!
Nicely done! :D
