Thank you all so much for your beyond lovely and kind comments. I think without a doubt this was one of my favourites to write, and although I'm not very cocky with my writing, I have to say that I did adore the ending and felt it was just right for John and Emma's relationship.
I can't say a sequel is on the cards, I've had a few ideas rolling around in my head but I really like how this one ended and don't want to ruin that!
I have started a new fanfic, it's not as good as this one but again is a bit different. I've struggled with it a bit, I wrote the first chapter ages and ages ago and just went with the idea, but I'm still working out a few things as I've had a lot of writers block lately. I think I might have finally decided where I want it to go, but updates aren't as regular. Sorry this comment is a tad late, I just wanted to wait until I'd started something new before replying. Like I said I've had a lot of writers block lately so I've not been feeling it too much over the past few months, but hopefully I'm back in the zone now :)
