I'm not going to be able to go into as much depth as I'd hoped because I'm not familiar with the characters or plot, but I found this story really interesting so far. I've always been a bit hesitant about reading outside my comfort zones, but this story actually really intrigued me, and I do want to know more. I can't really think of any criticisms since the characters and plot are still developing and I've got a lot more to learn about them. Your description is great, as well as the way the characters are introduced so that all the information comes out in small chunks at a time. It means that someone like me who doesn't know as much as other readers can keep up and not feel like they're too out of it.
