This is heart breaking. It sounds like those things some parents tell their children to scold them - which has happened to me.
I think this is more than talking about art, this is a person. Which makes it even more heart breaking.
You have a way with words that is amazing and you convey strong emotions with small sentences, simple words and short paragraphs. This is very beautiful.

I feel sorry for the art. I thought the "art" could have been a person, or an unfinished piece created, but not loved as much as the other creations made by the creator.

Dear author, I have never read anything like this before but I actually like it. First of all, nice layout. It was simple but nice. I would suggest to connect the two small sentences to one with the word and. It seems better to me. For the chapter itself, I liked how this was written, it made it easier to relate to. It was like someone was talking to me and telling me those stuff which made me sad and I almost cried. Brownie points for that. :) I liked the comparisons, it added to the one-shot. One thing I would suggest would be if the sentences weren't so small and if you used bold at, You are the bad art.. Other than that, I enjoyed that sad and in deapth piece of literature. I give you nine and a half out of ten pens for this. ~Marian.

Thank you for entering this in my contest! I've gotten quite a few dark entires, it seems. I don't have much to say about the layout; simple, not distracting, pleasing to the eye.

Ouch with that first line, I love it. Good job relating to your readers right off the get go. Haven't we all felt like a mistake once or twice?

I like that it puts me as the main character, and someone else is telling me how I feel, but I can also tell that this is a story that could apply to many, this is a general story of a feeling many have, and the art analogy is a fantastic and creative, though tragic, way to sum that up.

You think of how to ease the pain, for yourself, for your creator, for your viewers.

Greatly enjoy that line, for reasons I can't explain.

Overall, I just loved this, it evoked a lot of emotions, nearly brought a tear to my eye. Great job.

This is really, really fantastic. I have never heard such a beautiful comparison before, and it was translated so eloquently, and the concept was still pretty easy to grasp. This is the perfect sort of self-depreciation, because it hits all the points -- internalized hate, negativity from outside parties, disgust from relative -- that are so important to this kind of thing. And of course the only way to remedy the situation is to get rid of the bad art altogether. Your articulation in that realization is beautiful, and I loved the line about bleeding the colors that did not match.
My one and only complain would be I wasn't a fan of the usage of "viewers." It just made me think of television, and I know your comparison wasn't self-hate to feeling like a bad sitcom. I'm not sure what word would be better suited, but I just wanted to throw my two cents in on that matter.
This was really great. I loved the imagery and verbiage. It made me sad because it all made so much sense, but it made me happy because I've never seen such emotion depicted in such an honest, understandable manner.
