I apologize for not updating, I'm working through a bit of writer's block on this story. I think I might have a break through soon though.

Unfortunately doormats DO exist in Real Life, but fortunately for all of us this is a Fic and Aleks is NOT such a person. Notice that she invited them ALL to come over and sit with herself and Sid, not just Katy. As for the pool, she's self centered so of course anyone not helping her out of the pool would be unthinkable. Thank god for Sam who gave me the chance to make her go away. :)

Cousin Katy is really dense. I don't know of any woman who would pass along an invitation by an 'other woman' wannabe for her husband where she herself was not invited. Do such doormats really exist? I hope not. And unless Katy was drowning, I don't know of anyone who'd have gotten her out of the pool first, either! She's a big girl, she shouldn't need help getting out of the pool.

She's normally been busy during the summers and so only had a few weeks to spend actually WITH him. They do NOT know her which you'll see in a few chapters. Andy has spent the most time with them as a couple and understands what she does for him.

I don't really understand why people would think she's a gold digger. She's known him before he was famous, they were a couple before he was drafted. Have they even met her? Because I don't see how they could have that opinion after having met her. She's not a money-grubbing WAG. Where's the expensive toys, the abounding demands for jewelry, the unending shopping trips, the insistence on being seen and showing off? I don't see it.

And not to put too fine a point on it, it demeans Sid also to think he'd settle for a gold digger.

It's been good for me, I should have a Chapter for another of my fics out tomorrow. Trying to find a balance between writing and having fun.

I lost my 17 year old cat to kidney failure last fall; she was my baby. I know some of what you've been going through so my condolences on your loss. Glad to see you're back, hope the writing has been and will be cathartic!

I needed it as much as the rest of you. I feel awful that it took so long but I needed to make sure I wouldn't be writing stuff that's sad when this story starts happy.
