Two men fighting over a woman, that's a bit cliche, so that's why you have a low score.
Rival Relationship: 4/10
The relationship between Matt and Jimmy was so sudden and unexplained that I can't give you anything other than a 4. However since you, gave a vague explanation in her journal then that's why the score isn't a 0.
Plot: 3/10
As for the plot, well the beginning gave the impression that Carmen was writing a story, and after reading the rest of the actual story, I don't see the point in the journal part. You don't explain anything, you don't explain the sudden guns and violence, you don't elaborate on Matt and Carmen's relationship. And the end of the story was terribly rushed.
Aside from that the love between Jimmy and Carmen was sweet though short.

First reaction, aw sweet she's writing a journal. Then fucking ski masks and explosions and JIMMY WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? Then he was all sweet and caring and then Matt appears. Then they both die and CARMEN DON'T DIE ON ME! Such a sweet ending, extremely powerful. Jimmy's such a sweetie pie isn't he? Great job honey bun, I hope that you win the contest!
