They need to start off slow and get to know each other again. It has been quite a while so they are strangers to be honest and being with someone you barely know can make you keep your guard up after what they have been through

Tom doesn't really know how he hurt Clara. He know he did but is unaware of the extent.
Their relationship can come back but it will be slow. They both needs to be honest. Tom about what happened to him and Clara about what she felt when he left.

Please resist your urges haha don't want them to get together too quick. It will lose the whole point of their dilemma. True I have noticed that, but his issues can direct themselves to Clara (almost typed Paty there lol) because once you've been burned your wary about everyone else.

This story is one of the most frustrating things I ever had the pleasure to write. It's just like 'GUYS GET TOGETHER!' but I resist my urges haha
The hard part is that Clara's trust issues are directly related to Tom while Tom's are related to someone else. The ironic part is that somehow they need each other, despite not having realized it yet. They don't voice their problems to anyone and I really want for them to bond again and be like each other confidants you know?

I do feel sad when I see how deep Tom's devastation runs. It's so hard to read when you know that two people are so in love with each other yet so guarded. I like how you don't automatically let them have their guards down even if they do have that special connection. There is hesitance when it comes to the both of them. Clara and Tom both have something to hide or rather not say and within time I hope that both of them open up. I just wonder if Tom or Clara's trust issues run deep since they have both been betrayed and felt abandoned.

it was cute to see them finally interact with one another. clara is just a doll. reminds me of a puppy in a way just young and naive and really just cautious with everything around them.

Finally they meet. This was so adorable, even when she saw him she didn't recognise him. I love her innoscent shyness and I loved is playfullness in not revealing himself immediately. I can"t wait to see what follows
