Comic Relief - Comments

Aw, this story was sad, but so relatable at the same time. As sad it sounds, I'm sure that many people have felt like they were the black sheep in a group of friends at one point or another. I remember feeling this way from prep to year nine, so what I felt then was captured exactly how you wrote it in this story. I think it's written really well and you've managed to grab the reader's attention right from the get-go. I didn't realise this was a story (I thought it was a one-shot) but this intrigues me to how this could go. I'm subbing, and I can't wait to see where this goes!

This made me smile in a sad kind of way because I am completely, totally, and utterly a Scout in a friend group made up of nothing but Carsons. I love how relatable this already is. I think that that's why I had the sad smile, because I could see myself in Scout and I'm sure others can too (or not, in that case, I'll just take Scout and we'll go cry in a corner together). But this looks very promising and shows signs of turning out to be very good. I'm not sure exactly what you're going to do with it yet, which is amazing. I don't like being able to tell you what happens in a story within reading the first chapter. I could see you going a lot of ways with it though. I am truly excited for this! I can't wait to see where it goes and how Scout develops as a character. You've made a strong impression on me and I can tell that this is going to be a great story! ❤

You kinda missed the mark for light-hearted a bit.

I definitely want to read more though. It's a really promising start.
