It's not entirely Plausible no matter how much someone likes their friends for someone to just want to leave their family and go off with a friend (not for the psychologically sound anyway, unless she's brainwashed her friends)

A mother isn't going to send off her kid because one friend left, let alone two different parents of two different kids. They can make new friends a parent moves from their old home, one of the first thing they tell their kids is they'll make new friends, these girls aren't being moved, but choosing to move, so they would be leaving other friends... It would be very unrealistic for them not to have other friends and even if they didn't, no parent is going to send thier kid off to live with a friend, no parent would.

Then there's Genns mom, unless she's the glorified rich, she'd flat out refuse two teen girls trying to move in with her. Genns mom would ahve to not only feed, clothe, and see to medical needs of Genn, she'd have too other teen girls that aren't her own. This would throw a serious strain on them all and Genn and the other girls wouldn't be taken care of in the same way they'd be used to, expenses would no longer be focused on Genn, but split between three girls. No parent would say yes to taking someone elses kids, no matter how much they like the girls, when the girls have thier own family and home.

Giving the girls some depth and reason beyound she's thier friend would be a very good thing. Like if they're 18, they'd be old enough to get jobs and though Santa carla sounds cool, they'll head there with thier friend, get a job, prob go to collage in the area (if parents could provide collague fund) More depth and meat and background to these girls leaving with genn would do a lot of good for what you have going ^.^

Maybe their the only friends she has, and her mom's worried that she might not make new ones?

Looks interesting, it being short is not bad. Though I'll say Genns Friends parents sending her friends to stay with her seems a little unrealistic no matter how much a fit they threw, along with them actually wanting to move out to be with her enough to throw a fit or that Genns mom would willingly want to take on two other teens.. (unless there's some supernatural reason :}) weekend visits would make sense though.

Also you'll want to space the paragraphs, it's harder to tell who's, who when one persosn actions/ speech runs into the next.

You might also darken the powder blue wording for the chapters titles ect. light color on white background isn't very easy to see.

I do like the wall paper looking background for your layout though, it looks nice.
