I love how this story is so different from others. I hope the two of them can figure it out because it is making such a great story! P.S. I hope the baby turns out not to be his.

Honestly, I do think that Talon would stand by her man and deal with the BS. Not everyone feels like divorce is an option and they'd rather work out the issues and move on. Obviously, Talon and James have a lot to work out and if James doesn't feel like he's done anything wrong, then it's gonna take a lot longer and be a lot harder than it could be if he just owned up to his mistake. Now, that's not to say that Talon needs to just roll over and forgive him. No, no, no. She needs to make him work for it, that's for sure. But to just give up on a relationship that has been going on 10+ years without trying to work on the problems isn't always the way to go. So I say bravo on writing it this way and I can't wait to read more.

Yay update! I wonder what he means by "be a good wife." She admitted it all wasn't him earlier so I feel like there is another side to the story. It is hard to dislike James even when he is being a jerk because I feel as if he still really does care for Talon.

James just keeps digging this hole deeper! I do know, in real life, quite a few people who have stayed in situations maybe past their expiration date If there is any part of Talon that believes James didn't actually invite his baby mama, then I buy her sticking around. Plus, the humiliation of being cheated on is a pretty powerful motivator to fix things, if only to prove people wrong. Maybe not a healthy one, but powerful nonetheless. I think part of Talon wants to believe that James is as sorry as he says - but she's not going to take his word for it. He needs to show her, and the baby mama being around is a huge problem. I hope he can take care of his business soon, otherwise I'll join those who dislike Talon for wasting her time!

Good for Talon walking out, she needs to stick up for herself. Honestly, I do not think James respects her. He treats the whole situation like he didn't do anything wrong. It's obvious that Talon loves/needs/doesn't know how to live without James. James needs to see his wrong doings and bust his ass in attempt to make it up to her, to show her she's all he wants. If my boyfriend did that to me and then treated me like shit, trying to pin it on me, I'd be bullshit. But I would forgive him if he meant it. Love this though, and excuse the rant. Update soon!

Interesting. And she's right to walk right now. He needs to proves himself at this point and chase her. Not the other way around. Loved the update! Keep 'em coming!

I hope they can work it out though because it seems like they really do love each other regardless of what has happened.

Wow. That was crazy. I am glad that she is sticking up for herself. I also know people who stuck by a cheating spouse. I had a friend of mine do that and as much as I didn't like or agree with it, the last thing she needed from me was a lecture about it. I didn't have to like it. I just had to be there for her. I told her what I thought once and then just let my opinions go and never said anything again. The only time I would say something is if she asked me and even then I never said anything bad about him because I knew that wasn't what she was looking for.
Sorry for the rant. Maybe you can use it for the story if you decide to give her a best friend to talk to or not read it at all, LOL. It just really bothers me and it seems like you also, when people just keep telling them to leave the person or that they will beat them up or talk bad about them. That isn't always what they need. Sometimes they just need someone to sit with them while they talk or cry or just sit there in silence with company for a while.

IMO, I suspect that on any professional sports team there are a lot of guys who fool around on their wives and girlfriends (some with permission, others not so much). And there's very much a 'look the other way' attitude within the team. But I suspect that stupidity is frowned upon. Have a wife and fuck around on the side? Fine, just don't make it the team's problem. Don't bring it to work. I don't know what he was thinking.

And I don't know what Talon is thinking. If she truly wants to save her relationship without being a door mat, she's going the wrong way about it. She needs to make boundaries, enforce them, don't let him get away with anything, and demand and receive respect. Me? There's no way I'd play nice. And while I wouldn't go into the details with my inlaws, there's no way I'd be hiding any of the shit James has been pulling. I'd not help him save face with his boss or his family.
