Just finished your story, and wow. Definitely one of the better Sherlock ones out there. Like the person who commented before me said, it is SO HARD for some people to do Sherlock's character justice, but I felt you stayed very true to who he is portrayed as in the show and it came out fantastic. I was very impressed with his portrayal and I felt the timeline everything happened on within the story was perfectly paced, especially regarding the development and acknowledgment of Sherlock's feelings towards Rose. All in all a very great story, 10/10 would recommend. I hope to see another Sherlock story from you sometime :)
Alright, so just found your story and decided to give a go, and let me tell you, I'm NOT disappointed I did. You do the series and Sherlock justice so far and for that I'm grateful. Sherlock Holmes is a hard one to get right if you don't know how, and I've semi read a couple of misses, but you get it so far... so well done. (I hope that doesn't sound condescending, it's meant as a compliment.)
Other than that, you're keeping the tone in the story, you have a good time line and you stick to it. The characters are well used for your AU, and they actually have a life on the page. Believe or not, but that's were others have (also) failed in these kind of stories. Erhm.. Let me think.. I know there was more to this. Oh yeah.. No.. I forgot sorry, but all in all, I really like this story and you've got yourself a new subscriber. Well a new subscriber to simply keep watch, in you ever decide to continue with this line of story aka a sequel.
So, I just finish your story and I absolutely thought you did a brilliant job at portraying the Sherlock characters with your OC, Rose. I really really hope that you write a sequel for this story because you can't just leave your fans hanging by saying that you might possibly make a sequel. :)
@ ConstantChaos; It makes me so happy to hear that! To be perfectly honest, with the new season of Sherlock approaching, it's perfectly likely I will get Sherlock fanfic itch again soon. It may not be a sequel to this one, although I won't completely rule it out. For right now, I am working on my Loki fanfiction, which of course, you are welcome to read. Thank you so much for the feedback. It's why I'm on mibba!
I seriously just read this entire story in half a day. I have a problem. My god, you're a brilliant writer!! I just couldn't stop. I fell in love with Rose and I loved how well you wrote as sherlock! I truly hope someday this has a sequel because I'm left wanting more. Bravo!
From start to finish: brilliant work. Literally, could not stop reading. I wrote a Sherlock fanfiction not too long ago and frankly I don't want to write and further because in comparison it is shit. I enjoyed it immensely!
I read the very first chapter and I fell in love immediately, it's amazing, well-written, and you've captured Sherlock well enough that I can actually picture him doing and saying exactly what is written. I'm only on chapter 11, but I'll let you know what I think of the whole thing when I finish. :D
@ AmeliaPond I'm excited too. I'll let you know what I think of it when I get to it. I love the Sookie Stackhose novels. I just finished Deadlocked. I haven't read the last one yet. I wait until they come out on paperback because I have all of them in paperback. True Blood comes back soon :D
Just read the final chapter. All I can say is, Aww! I'm sad it is done, but I'm glad you ended it that way. I do hope there is a sequel. ;) Of course you did mention that already. XD Now off to read the Loki fan fic!
@ Chloe Gray I am excited for you! I would love to know what you think of the lovely BBC adaption of Sherlock! I have read a bunch of the Sookie Stackhouse books and watched the show True Blood as well. I love both versions.
@ AmeliaPond This will be my first time watching. I better get to it quickly.. Hm. On another note, I got curious about other stories you have written and came across an Eric Northman fanfic. Bravo! I love Eric. Now, did you come across him in the books, or through the show? I know you have it finished, and that it was a few years ago, but I am enjoying it so far :)
@ Chloe Gray No, you are quite correct. There are only six episodes, 3 episodes per season. However, each episode is 90 minutes long (essentially a feature-length film) so it makes up for there not being as many episodes. Are you watching the show for the first time, or just re-watching? The third season is scheduled to air sometime before the end of this year, which I am exceedingly excited about.
My goodness, I was gone for a week and you have close to 5 updates up.. And to top it all off, the next chapter is the end? I'm torn.. I loved this story so much.. But I am very excited to see how this ends :) One question though. I have recently acquired Netfilx. And there are only 6(?) episodes of Sherlock.. Surely there are more than that..
Love this story! I'm sort of glad it's ending though, because too often writers on here drag stories on far too long. A book should leave you wanting more :) Can't wait for another update!
