I can't believe this story dosent have more comments it deserves them! It deserves them more than my story. I absolutely love kat and I have to admit since I have watched the show through can few times I tend to skim the parts without her but I just can't get enough of your detailed writing. Your so talented and dsryl and Kate relationship is so real. I adore your story so very much. I'm on the walking dead fanfiction too so I plan to find your story on there and rate it for you. It sucks when people like the story but don't rate it for others to see so I'll go make sure the world knows how great your story is. Keep writing you make the break between seasons bearablw.

Sorry for your troubles! We haven't had any flooding issues where I live for a couple weeks. We don't get hit too hard here. I'm updating again rather quickly this time since I was bored, hehe. So I should have another chapter up by tonight.

Oh, the suspense
Can't wait for the next one! After a weekend full of fighting floods in my home district and barely good news about decreasing water levels or stable dykes - finally a nice reward handed out via the last chapter... Keep them coming!

Really digging this story so far. I kind of look for more focus on Kat/Daryl, but this is long & well written. Only logic hole I saw was her not being religious because the Robertsons definitely are (e.g. Si saying he carries 3 things always - tea cup, gun, & a bible). There may be something in her history I'm missing to back up why you said she's not religious, but if not, it may be something to address. Look forward to your next chapter!

I didn't want, right off the bat, for them to hook up or constantly be all over each other or the whole 'ooo you're hot, ooo stick your tongue in my mouth.' No. I also want Daryl to be like how the lovely Reedus himself has said he wants him to be. Inexperienced with love/emotions and awkward. But as far as the story itself, I'm sort of trying to write it how I would approach the situation. You're more concerned with what's going on around you and what you're losing rather than who's hot and available and what not. But like you said, still showing that interest in each other. I want it to be hard to want that kind of relationship in this world, where every day is life and death, and like I said, you're always worrying about what you could lose. So they will have more of a flirty friendship for some time as they get closer with each other through the seasons I'm following. I want the Daryl that Kat gets to be a little different than the Daryl the survivors get at first, because they knew each other briefly from before. So they have that sense of familiarity with each other that's comforting. BUT, thank you again. Finally another person that wanted to read, what I myself wanted to read! I couldn't find it for a long time through all of the stories I went through so I decided to make my own. This isn't my first fan fiction, but it is my first Walking Dead fic. So I hope other people like it just as much. Subscribe and enjoy. I'll have an update again soon :) xo

Finally a mature approach to this story in fan fiction. You don't know how long I've been waiting for something like this to come around. There's far too much juvenile, teenager-like drooling, immature stuff out there that doesn't get the severe situation of the survivors' group in which this relationship is developing. I've been missing a sober approach to these apocalyptic circumstances and FINALLY I stumble upon your work. At last a believable development of characters and comprehensible actions towards each other, taking into account the reality of a life threatening catastrophe and trying to cope with loss while at the same time noticing their interest in each other, totally seeming out of place at that moment. Thank you! I mean it. I enjoy every line you have written so far. Please keep this up, I'm looking forward to the next chapters, I hope there are a lot more to come!
