Please to be posting more? I only just found this story and I'm really liking it, even though I've no idea who Logan Couture is and couldn't pick out any of the Sharks' roster. Gotta say, this story is making me a little homesick for the Bay Area.
Ahem.... we could use an update here, please. I need a Logan and Emma fix (Emma, Emma, Emma... she reminds me of myself so much that it's kinda scary. Give the boy a bone!)
Well Emma surprised me at the end of the chapter! But I liked it. The last chapter depressed me some. Emma was being realistic and logical but I feel like she was hiding behind that to avoid getting involved with Logan for whatever reason.
This is one of my favorite stories on this site. First off, it Logan Couture and anything with him is perfect, and then there's your writing, which is fabulous. I cannot wait for the next update!
There is a sweetness to this fic that belies it's firm grasp of reality. They are both attracted yet Emma acknowledges that she lives somewhere else; Logan lives somewhere else; long-distance relationships are hard and that she's not that sure of what she wants. I like how insistent Logan is, as if he senses that she's something really special and he doesn't want to lose her. I have a feeling the interesting ride is really just beginning for these two.
I've been wondering for a few chapters now where you're going with Emma and Logan both heading to different cities. I was a little surprised that Emma seemed to give in so easily in this chapter. But it's nice to see things move forward a little with Logan. Also surprised that Emma didn't sass Logan about the Jays game while she was texting with him.
Alright. Legitimate comment time so you can update.
TJ and Danielle kind of make me laugh. If Noelle knew that shit she'd be so pissed. But that's a whole other ball game really. But it's a good laugh. I like it. It kind of makes me wish I could actually write that story. It'd probably be a lot of fun. Hm.. maybe I could. OKAY, FOCUS AMANDA.
Anyhow. Obligatory comment about how I like the way you write. The inner narrative is good, the way Emma sees things and how you describe things. It flows nicely and I always feel satiated at the end of a chapter rather than wanting more. It's the perfect balance and I know you've said I can do the same thing but I still feel like I'm struggling with it so I envy you for that. Seriously.
The way Emma and Logan interact is great. It's hilarious and makes me giddy and always leaves me wanting more. They have this perfect balance about them that seriously makes me envious. I want that with someone cuter than Logan. Hehe. But in all seriousness, it's great, their banter and reaction to each other. And I love the way Logan doesn't really give up and just keeps rolling with it. It's nice.
I like the way you can see Emma kind of caving to him in this chapter, too. Like it doesn't even need to be written with her acknowledging it. You can just tell. And that's brilliant, I think. Very good. Also, Emma made me laugh here:
“What? How on Earth would you get the idea that I actually like arguing with you? The only people who like arguing are politicians and those who like debating absolutely everything. I don’t like arguing.” I crossed my arms over my chest and let out a huff of air. Beaking people on the pitch and about their baseball fandom were one thing but to actually enjoy arguing? Never.
I'm not sure if it was intentional or it's just how I read things but that read as so sarcastic. And Emma seems like exactly the kind of girl to love arguing. She seems to debate most things. It's actually pretty funny. I think I do something similar sometimes. Whoopsies.
But anyway, I really liked this chapter and I like that Logan and Emma are slowly progressing at this point. Seriously you're such a great writer and I really love this story and you know how I feel about Logan because we went there again last night but seriously. Oh my God. It's just so good. Okay. Now update please, I really want to read the next chapter even though I've already read it. Yep, yep. Good. Go.
Nice to see Emma be a little nice to Logan and flirt with him a bit:) Sounds like he might be a goner if she wants that. Looking forward to the next chapter!
Your thank yous are humbling. But what's a best friend for? I mean, really.
So. Just to get this out of the way: I really love the way you write. It's easy to get sucked in and absorbed. (I mean, this should be obvious just for the fact that I don't like Logan but I really love this story. So you know it's your writing and not the guy it's about.)
This chapter was really good. I liked that Danielle entered the draw and I loved the introduction of TJ. It still makes me sting with sadness when I see him mentioned in this story but I think we can both agree that it's understandable. But I really love the way this just flows and the interaction between everyone.
I know you're nothing like Emma but you really write her well and it's mind boggling to me and I kind of hate you for it. But seriously this was fantastic, as always, and I really can't wait to read the next chapter. Even though yes, I have read it before. Woohoo! Update soon, please?!?!
