Somehow despite the length of words that this moment is, you are able to create a perfectly imaginable picture. You don't need dialogue to set the tone. It's something I envy about your ability. You don't have to say it to show that he's not over her or whatever it is that they had and that he wishes that there would be more to this whatever it is. It makes you curious about their history, their connection and why things are ending this way.
Everything about this makes you want more. Excellent job!
