Better. But Child Protective Services (or the local equivalent) cannot tell a woman she's not allowed to get pregnant. It is not legal to do so. The state cannot control people's reproductive rights in regards to if and when a child is conceived. The (U.S) government can no longer sterilize a woman against her will and it cannot tell her she cannot get pregnant, for any reason. Not for fear or history of abuse, not for lack of income, not if the parents would be passing down a lethal disease, not even if the woman has intellectual disabilities or physical disabilities. That's called eugenics, I'm sure you've heard of it. It's kinda looked down upon these days.

I have issues with CH. 2. Regardless of how shitty an adult pregnant woman is, her parents cannot legally take her newborn away from her without going through legal process, which can take a long time. They cannot take her children away from her and just adopt them without going through all of the hoops that the law makes adoptive families go through. To charge Danielle, they would have had to have proof, not just suspicion and a heart problem. Most of the time it cannot be proven. Sometimes birth defects just happen to good people. Sometimes not.

And I have an issue with "she became a big disgust in my family." Because that is shaming. Women are allowed to be sexual creatures and it's fucked up in this day and age to hold a pregnancy against a woman in such a way that she's deemed disgusting. No wonder she drank, if she did, if that's the 'support' she got from her 'loving family'. How accepting. How helpful.

Also, there's no way Danny could take her children after her parents' deaths if the kids had been legally adopted unless that was in the adoptive parents' wills. Once children are adopted, their birth parents have no legal right to the children, even upon the deaths of the adoptive parents. No rights at all, the birth parents' rights have to be terminated before the adoption could proceed. So really, the police would not have allowed Danny to take the children even if they did arrest Sarah for assault.

So I'm confused because I can't see how the story as you've written it works.
