Town Limits - Comments

This story is great so far! I'm really interested in both Nora and Liam at this stage because they really are...well, real as characters. They've both got all of this history and they've made mistakes just like normal people do. Their (blossoming) relationship is really true as well, I can almost imagine it playing out in front of me as I read. Liam seems like this really mysterious guy, I'm really interested to see that if (and when) they bump into each other again, Nora can get to know a little bit more about him.

Your writing style is really beautiful as well. Everything flows really well and your description is spot-on. Not too much, but not too little. It paints the perfect little picture in my head when I'm reading, especially with the goodbyes under the tree. Really lovely, really elegantly worded. It all works really well together to create a really lovely piece to read.

I'm interested to see where you're going with this and I'll definitely be reading on.

I think that this is one of the most beautiful, unappreciated stories I have ever read on this website. I think this is so beautiful and I absolutely adore this. Your writing ability is magnificent and I cannot wait until you update!

"I think of Cole. His platinum hair and baby blues." With the way she describes Cole, I could definitely think of him for her since she doesn't really want him anymore, hahaha.

Can you do me a favor? It shouldn't be that hard and I don't think it's asking much, but don't change anything about this story. Why I am the first to comment on it, I actually have no clue. Why there are only 2 people (now including myself) that are subscribed to it, I'll never know. Why only 11 people have been smart enough to read this, don't ask me. Because this story is already so good. I love it, I absolutely love it. Nora really reminds me of myself because I too want to get away from a small town, so this really shows me the reality of what could one day happen. I guess I love it because it does hit close to home for me. I really like Liam too, already. He seems so interesting. I love Liam's dialogue, especially when he said his mom had a "boner" for small towns. Writers really don't think that small stuff like that can mean a lot to the reader in imagining and making the characters come to life. These two are very much 3D and real to me as a reader. You've done a wonderful job fleshing them out.

I honestly believe that my favorite part was in the fourth chapter where Nora was talking about the intensity of Liam's eyes and how she asks what color they are and he answers as well as asks her name. The natural flow between the two is beautiful and realistic, not fake and seemingly forced and stupid. You've seriously just done such a wonderful job with your characters that it's nearly ridiculous. I love your use of description. I could see the yellow house with the robin's egg blue door and the tacky lawn ornaments perfectly. I can see Paige and I can perfectly relate to the way she characterizes her as the type of person you don't really think of, but she's nice anyway. I know people like that. The way you can make me relate to and know what you're talking about makes me love this story even more.
