You took a different approach to the contest altogether that really isn't that bad- if anything, it makes the story a bit more specific. I think you had an interesting premise that was based off of the words well enough, however there's just something off about it, I just can't pin-point it. It feels a little rushed, but that's okay, for the most part. There didn't seem to be many mistakes with your grammar/punctuation and spelling, maybe one or two, but it was written well in that sense. I think a bit more character development and a more in-depth look at Ella's relationship with Keith and Conner would have helped, but this is good, nonetheless.
