Thank you. Your comment about Jakub and Janie's relationship means a lot. I always want my characters to feel real so that they feel that way to you is a great boost for me as a writer. This is in all honesty one of my absolute favorite pieces that I've ever written. I secretly love that he doesn't get the girl in the end as well. It felt right for this story.

This was absolutely fantastic. The relationship between Jakub and Janie just felt so real and tangible. I sort of fell in love with it all. And I loved that he didn't get the girl in the end. Switched it up and I wasn't ready for it which I loved. It wasn't typical of most stories, like lilynotlyla said, and I absolutely loved it. :)

I think we're all guilty of the happy ending. :) I wasn't sure what to do at first to be honest but looking through my inspiration folder, I came across the pic on the layout and the story came from there. It felt right.

I can't help myself sometimes and I do find Jake endlessly adorable so I might revisit this later with a happy ending sequel for him. Really glad you liked this!

Have you seen the Pikachu gif where he's rubbing his cheeks and just smiling? Yeah, that would be me. I love this. You really get their friendship and I really like that you switched it up from the typical "boy wants girl, boy gets girl" that a lot of hockey fanfics end up with (and, admittedly, I've written, too.) I gotta feel for Jakub, but I love how this ended :)
