I think the background is beautiful, and to be honest I'm quite jealous of it, I really like that design. The picture is cute and the writing is easily read. I think the writing flows well, you have an awful lot of speech in there and not enough content for my liking. There isn't enough background information and things to really get me hooked. I think you could and should work on that. But all in all it's a nice story, good job.
