I love this story

Oh, and I wanted to tell you that this story reminded me of this very known painting, but since I didn't know the name, I left that comment out.
And then I googled the painting you quoted as being inspired by and lo and behold, that's the painting i had in mind! So yeah, great work :)

I'm loving this story. I like Keri a lot, she's relatable and fun. Her career is interesting, and her personality is cool. And I LOVE this happens during the night, i think it's charming. Nights have this mysterious and alluring quality, and I think it translates to their relationship too.
Can't wait to read more :)

Yay! I'm glad there's at least one person who knows who Brad Richards is and doesn't hate him. :-) I'm glad he didn't get bought out either. That woud have really messed up the second half of this fic.

Richie had a bad season earlier this year. I never cared that much for him, but the opportunity to write an angsty beginning to a fic was too much to resist. The more I learned about him, the more I liked him, though. He's given away loads of money to charity ($500k to his hometown hospital!) and is just generally so sophisticated with an appreciation of fashion and wine without coming across as snooty. He is, however, so so so dry when it comes to interviews. I swear the man does not know how to show his personality when answering questions.

Hopefully you'll like Brad even if you don't like the Rangers. :-)

Yup, I too know nothing of the Rangers (past what I saw of them in the playoffs this year) and nothing about Richards. So far, so interesting! And, yeah, I kinda feel like a lot of players need to be fed, hugged, and tucked into bed. Or at least I hope they have people in their lives to make sure they don't get to the point where they look like they need it. Or perhaps that they have the people who will do so when they do.

And man, she's got a soft touch for him. There's no way I'd have gone in on a day off for a customer. Esp. if it took me an hour and def. not anywhere near midnight.
