Aww! I'm glad you like it so much. It'll probably wind down soon...maybe. I don't actually know for sure but I'm thinking I'm nearing its conclusion.

Poor Ryan! This is my favorite story. Can't wait what happens next....

I liked writing Danny as the papa bear. He seems the type to me. He is all too aware of how hockey players can be and has watched Danni grow up. And I love Claude and Scott as the goofy older brother types.

I had a smile on my face the whole time I read this, Danni and Ryan are so cute together. And LOL at Danny being the Papa Bear and Claude and Hartsy being the protective big brothers, maybe Justin is going to get lucky with the rental girl

Its like ryan and danni ate a whole sugar bowl they are so sweet. The cuteness of this was very much needed after my horrible week.

So very true! I really love these characters and the easy simplicity of their relationship. It's not hurried or overtly sexual... It's sweet and tender and caring. They're taking their time with each other and in general just being adorable.

Nope, still loving the details in ch. 10, like her fingers into his hair kneading the back of his neck, then the nuzzling. I love that; it shows deeper feeling than just a sexual attraction. I mean, if all you're doing is bumping uglies with a guy, why bother to nuzzle and cuddle and make-out?

There is so much I love in this chapter, including the things you mentioned but I think my favorite is the boys confusion as to why these kids look familiar but can't place it. When I saw the pictures of Danny and his sons in their Canadiens jerseys, I died at how much they look like him. So cute!

No, no, I wasn't insinuating that Danny would have even conceived of hitting on the babysitter past or present. Dude doesn't come across as a creep (and you can't say that about all hockey players or even all of his teammates. Um, ex-teammates, I know nothing about the Habs). Just commenting on how I'm sure that the Dann(y)(i)'s relationship isn't anything to be jealous over since he was always just the dad to the kids she loved to babysit. There have always been plenty of creeptastic dads with regard to babysitters but there have always been even more normal dads who recognize that their babysitters are just someone else's kids and that their babysitters are both doing them a favor and are working for them. I know which side of the equation I think Danny would be.

Also, there's no reason why Ryan and Justin would twig onto the Haddonsfield thing or directly recognize the boys - unless they're giant Danny Briere fanboys.

To be fair, she didn't fangirl all over the Edmonton hockey players. Which could indicate previous exposure to pro players or even just famous-type people; it can be hard to get over the pedestal of people you have only seen on the big screen unless you've been exposed to the human behind the fame/money. And Danny B. has long been slotted into the 'awesome neighbor' slot, no? So Danni's relationship with hockey players has probably been something of an organic thing since the Briere's moved next door in 2007. Being a family guy, he undoubtedly had teammates in and out all season long over the years and she was probably in and out of his house all the time just as his boys were in and out of her house.

eta: the formatting looked ok in the comments only page but they sure look funny on the side of the story unless you mess with it a bit. Still looks funny, can't help that. But it's hard to tell who is quoting what in the comment box alongside of hte story. Maybe just my computer? Dunno

I love Ryan trying to annoy Justin. It's a more playful side that I enjoy. He always seems shy in the videos I've watched him but I imagine him less so with those he is most comfortable with.

Also, the making out was hot and cute. And how Justin popped out of the car to kiss the ground. And Ryan who was all, "Yup, bb, not a bad driver except how we almost died," totally deadpan. Love!
