First off, I really like the mood you've set in the first chapter, it was very serene and it made me feel at ease; almost like I was there with Gerard when he was lighting his cigarette and standing in the cold. I also really like the analysis of his character in the chapter. It makes me think that he might be like that in real life.

All in all, I really like to see where you plan on taking this story, because this seems like the start of a real quality fic (:
