I love your story! Don't let stupid comments bring you down. It's called fiction for a reason, you don't have to get every fact right. It's your imagination that is important, without that there would be no story to read. I love your story a lot, just keep writing, just keep writing, just keep writing writing, what do we do we write write write! Very Happy

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I am from the Deep South, a small place in Georgia, that you'd miss if you blinked. I agree that conveying an accent is difficult in print. This way of speaking is prevalent in some areas(sounds like my grandparents), but not in all. I do like Bailey's genteel nature--very southern! I deny having an accent--my husband (a Tennessean- no accent!) laughs at my assertion! Looking forward to continued reading. By the way, not all Bostonians speak with a hard "r" either. I guess I am more of a rebel than I thought. Don't like to be stereotyped! Keep going!

@ ilovehockey4952 Thank you for reading my first venture into writing fanfiction and I am glad you are enjoying it. I appreciate your feedback, but I will have to respectfully disagree with you. I am also from the South and agree that not everyone drops all of their "g"s however, depending on what region someone is from, it does occur more frequently. It is the way it sounds to other people, the same as people from Boston say their 'r"s differently. It does not make someone less intelligent and I hope people realize this. It is also challenging to demonstrate someone has an accent without just stating it, so that is one of the only ways I found to do so in the story. I am not sure what point you are in the story, but I feel that I have made it clear that Bailey is an intelligent woman and don't believe I use a ton of colloquialisms. There are some, but they are spread out and I think they are rare. Most of them are also ones I have heard in real life. Again, I appreciate the feedback. I hope you will keep an open mind and understand where I am coming from as you continue to read.

First of all, I really love your story! But, please don't take this the wrong way... I am from the South and we don't drop every g(going-goin), say y'all every 30 seconds, or use quite so many colloquialisms. I admit to my accent becoming more pronounced when excited or angry, but it comes across as southerners as a bunch of bumpkins! Maybe I'm just being a little sensitive, but it's close to my heart. Really like the story, it's very cute.

Sick Tyler is adorably pathetic !! So glad Bailey was there to nurse him back to health and that he wasn't too terribly hurt during the game!!
