How have I not read this story yet?... Having read roughly 70% of Green Day fanfics on Mibba, this one evaded me.
Alright, my mind is kind of everywhere, so bear with me haha, I'll split it into paragraphs.

Max.
He's an awesome character, right off the first beat. He has his own way of handling things, his humor is awesome. (I laughed so hard nothing came out anymore when he asks 'Orphan Annie' if his dad told him to wear his pants to his nipples) Everything about him is just so realistic, like reading about the life of a living, breathing person. You did an amazing job writing his character, and I'm having a hard time expressing that using more intelligent terms than 'awesome', 'amazing' and 'fantastic'. And I definitely caught the St. Jimmy vibe off him.

Emmie.
While in the beginning you see and envision her the same way Max does: she's the best thing that's ever walked the planet and you're already planning happily-ever-after. As their relationship progresses, it becomes more honest and you see her how she really is, she cares, but not a whole lot, or maybe more than she's telling Max because she's scared to admit it. I curious to see what will become of her character in future chapters.

You're writing style is absolutely amazing. From the stories I've read, you're just so good with describing the characters and their predicaments. Never a moment when you're left wondering what the heck happened. This one is just as beautifully written as Wild One and Mr. Armstrong (and I loved both of those like crazy) my mind is still trying to form coherent sentences, and this is probably still all over the place, nevertheless, amazing work. I have loved reading about every moment from Max's point of view. Fantastic, amazing, spectacular work!

When I saw you updated another chapter I freaked! Lol poor Max he's always feeling so lonely. That boy needs a good friend to tell him straight. I hope he does go home to New York so he can run into the perfect girl and finally feel the affection he needs! Anyways I love this story and Max's intellectual thoughts. Keep updating!

I'm so glad you updated! I liked how we got to see into Max's past for a little bit. I think he should go back to New York. Y'know he doesn't have to like visit anyone, even if he just wanted to wander around like how he just did lol but anyways it's a good chapter and I enjoyed it! Can't wait till the next one which I'm sure will be great as always.

I religiously check this story everyday to see if there's a new chapter up but there never is. So sad. I love this story. I hope you pick up writing it soon!

Thank god! Haha I was wondering when you'd update. His friend is right max just needs an awesome girl who's gonna drag him out of that rutt. Someone nice, sweet but not too sweet. Somebody who's gonna tell it like it is without being a bitch about it. But he really is a sweet guy. As always I love your writing style. Very intelligent way of thinking and speaking. Yes! Was so excited when I saw a new chapter. Something about Max's personality that just strikes me to the core. The pessimistic tendencies of him remind me of my own 'glass is half empty' problem. Keep up the awesome chapters!

I literally snorted when you described the kid as that Eminem looking motherfucker. I hope Max feels better. He doesn't need the extra bullshit.

Poor max. If I knew him I'd defiantly help him out. I always like terribly tragic guys. My weakness. I have a feeling he's probably gonna end up running into emmie. Lol and that Eminem guy made me laugh what an ape.

It's is written so well. I love the writing style reminds me so much of catcher in the rye. The way you discribe Max's feelings. And the way he talks is so interesting. Just a well rounded story. Not to mention I'm a sucker for anything Jesus of suburbia related. I hope you update soon!
