I’m here as the new host for the ‘Show Me What You’ve Got’ contest.
I was actually pleasantly surprised by this drabble. I’ll admit that I was both curious and a bit put off by the fact that it was 70 words because I’m a naturally long-winded person. It’s hard to capture emotions in a small handful of words so whenever it’s below 100, I get kind of weary, if that makes sense. But I wasn’t at all disappointed with this. I actually connected and it resonated a lot with me. There was this warm, loving vibe threaded through the words that created a soft kind of scene in my head between two people that loved each other very much. The overall concept of this piece was very simple and straightforward, but you delivered it with a strong essence of love and romance that it was so sweet. You focused on this small thing between two people—something I would never have thought of—and it created something beautiful. So fantastic job!
Shoot, sorry for not getting to this earlier. Anyway, really nice, really intriguing, despite the length of the story. I think that’s what made it stronger. This was a really short but sweet entry, I liked it. Great entry
