This is a great story. You will find a way to get some more action into the story. My suggestion would be to think of and write all of the possible problems that could happen in the story, find which ones you want to be minor conflicts and which ones you want to be major conflicts, jot down how each one will play out, and finally put which ones you think are best to go with the story (both minor and major conflicts go into the story).
