Firstly, I have two off-topic things to say. Firstly, The End of All Things is my favourite song off of the new album and I was absolutely delighted when I realised that my hunch about the story being based off of that song was correct. Secondly, I clicked into this story and HOLY SHIT BDEN PLEASE STOP. That man.
The entirety of this was so cute and nostalgic though. I haven't read a Ryden in who knows how long, mainly because I find it kind of sad in a way. Does that make sense? I don't think it does, but whatever. The thought of Ryan and Brendon never getting to say goodbye properly just brings up so many thoughts and feelings because in a way (despite having an unconditional love for Dallon Weekes) I kind of miss the old Panic! lineup. The whole aspect of that era coming together for one last time is just something that I've wished for ages and I think the way you've written this does it perfect justice.
I have no problems with this piece. The ending was stunning -- using that line from the song was absolutely bittersweet in every meaning of the word and the fact that they still didn't get a proper and official goodbye made my heart break a little, but it seems like closure, the ending. This was a really incredible piece, thanks for sharing it!
