Glad you liked the cabin idea! I think they really needed a space away from everything too! Poor JJ will hopefully feel better now that he's had the surgery though. McKenna was definitely relieved! I agree that it was right for Leah to keep quiet. McKenna confided in her and there was ultimately no harm done so why cause drama?

I think going through with the foundation is going to help her heal some more from her past too. Though her past may still come back to haunt her.

Ahh, I bet McKenna was relieved to find out she wasn't pregnant! And I think Leah was right to keep it quiet. It was negative, so there's no reason to tell him and cause unwanted drama. If it were ever to get out. he would probably be a little pissed that Leah kept it from him, but I'd like to think he would understand.

It's gotta be hard for Leah to watch that video, and for Brian to relive it, too. But I think going ahead with the foundation will put those demons to bed. And Brian is so supportive of her.

I'm sooo sorry it took me so long to update this one and get back to your comments. My life has been crazy with school and I finally had a week off to do some catching up!

Brian and Leah are starting to work things out, but all hell could possibly break loose for poor McKenna. (More on that situation in the next chapter that I'm about to post momentarily!) McKenna's secrets are safe with Leah, for now at least!

Jacoby definitely got what he had coming to him, and hopefully he learned from his mistake of showing up and will stay clear of Brian from now on. Not sure if it will be the same way when it comes to Rebecca though...

As for Leah getting pregnant with a baby girl again.... only time will tell. I think it will be a while yet before either of them are ready to take that step though.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I think you may be right that they may face obstacles in the future, but only time will tell. Rebecca does have a lot of nerve, and I have a feeling that if she shows her face again she might not make it out of the situation as easily as she did this time. Haha, so many people have commented on the background and I have to admit, it was a collage that I found on Google images so I don't even know who to credit, but I thought it was perfect for the first part of the series

Happy to know that you think the story sounds real, I have a good imagination and I do read fantasy stories sometimes and I love almost all of the stories I've read on here so far. I do have to say though that when authors talk about serious issues and what follows in the story is so unreal and unbelievable I find it kind of cheesy, so I'm glad that this one didn't come off that way. Hopefully they will be able to continue moving forward.

I think that Rebecca turning up did play a big part in them realizing what they needed from each other. They deserved and needed that intimacy back and I think it shows that even after everything that's going on they still love and feel safe with each other.

Jacoby is definitely in for it, and hopefully after this he won't show his pretty little face again!

I'll admit, I wasn't sure about reading this because this is something I've been through and it hits a little close to home but I love your other stories and I loved the prequel so I gave it a chance. I'm glad I did! Just finished the prequel and caught up with all three chapters, I LOVE EEEET!

I like that you've kept it real, not sugar coating over the fact that yes, they lost a baby, they're both grieving and people grieve in different ways. They tend to push away the people they need the most. And unfortunately, some do reckless things without thinking, often with alcohol flooded brains. I hope that they can both get passed this and get back to helping each other grieve.

That sex, phwoar as always haha. It was needed though. They needed to reconnect on an intimate level; and reaffirm their need for one another. Maybe Rebecca turning up was for a reason, to get them talking again, to get them loving each other properly.

Run Jacoby, take your pretty hair and run like the wind! Brian is gonna hit him, probably more than once but I understand his anger. The guy he thought was a friend, slept with his wife.
