Thanks for the comment. I appreciate it. It was written for a drabble contest, with a max of 800 words, so I wanted to see what I could do. I kind of wanted to leave it ambiguous, however, I may always go back and try to transform it into something entirely different. :)

Sorry I dont think I realized this probably isnt the whole thing, lol I just want to know why the family is acting so strange

I think this could be converted into a poem, it seems a bit more metaphorical than an actual story, which isn't a bad thing. There are many poetic elements of it and I think you almost have to dig deep for the true meaning of this (which I can't seem to find, haha) Overall I liked it, If you revealed a reason the mother was acting so strangely and the child was upset i think I would have been more satisfied, but thats just me, it's still great without and explanation.
