yes i can imagine i've read a oneshot like this before except eventually jack and alex start having an affair and then if i remember right alex gets hit by a car or something and then jack gets pregnant and has to have the baby on his own and my heart broke it was the first mpreg thing i ever read and IT KILLED ME INSIDE IT WAS JUST SO SAD

in fact i think the same author did another one where they have an affair after alex is married (also really sad oh my god jack baby) and then the wife dies and just
