I told you before, but I just love the way these two interact... I love how she's not cowering in a corner in her presence, and how she can easily retaliate, every time he's being a dick! He won't admit it, but deep down list he likes her... Ugh! I love how she calls him on his bullshit, and basically I just wanna see moooore!!!! She's on her way to recovery, and I'm so pleased about that, because not all victims, who've been through what she has, are that strong or lucky...

Okay, imma leave, before I explode of feels all over the place... xx

It saddened me to see Sarah's parents say that they will not support her, even though they are totally right in not trusting Michael. And now Michael is officially all she has, and that's not good! I wish I could just tell her to take her shit, and run as far away as she can go! And I kinda wish Michael wasn't such a douche, but then there wouldn't be a story, so... Ugh! He's just so nasty, though! Anyway, can't wait for more!

I hope Sarah doesn't become afraid of Gerard, I mean yeas I could understand her paranoia but I hope she doesn't honestly hate him or distrust him to the level she doesn't feel safe around him. As for the whole shooting range fiasco I could't help but giggle, especially towards the end when Sarah got Gerard to admit how much he enjoyed being a smart (but adorable) know it all. And that moment right at the end when he smiled I felt me stomach flip!! And can I just mention how much I loved seeing how - for lack of a better word - flustered Gerard was around Sarah? I mean sure he was just pinning it on the pent up sexual frustration, but stil!!! I really enjoyed this chapter and must admit that this story is definitely on of my favorites!! Can't wait to see what happens next!! xxoxoo

Shit....I honestly had no idea where this was going, I know hat sounds stupid to say, especially when we already know that Sarah and Michael were together and even had a child but a part if me was terrified that this would when Michael started hurting her, because when he said that he'd drag her down the isle and 'nothing can keep you from me' I was thinking that all bets were off and my stomach plummeted I tithe fricking Atlantic. Is it fair to call her a love sick blind idiot? Because I can't think of anything else to describe it! Michael had SUCH a strong hold on Sarah it's actually scary how much he can bend her to his will. Ever since Michael hit her I felt like it's been a slippery slope downwards and honestly as intrigued as I am to see what happens between Sarah and Michael I'm actually scared too. However, I'm SO excited to see why happens next between Sarah and Gerard!!! Xxoxoo

Hi! Lovely to see you again my dear! I hated him writing that chapter. Initially it was meant to be more...physically forceful, but then this came out, which I feel fits the character better at this point. He's still just being manipulative without the violence (barring the slap, that it). I like how you described this as 'wonderfully messed up'! Awesome compliment, so thank you!
And Bilbo is perhaps my favourite creation. He was meant to play a smaller role, way smaller, but then...he just fit into what I wanted to achieve. So he stayed! Gerard is a cop though, who used discipline to keep himself in check, so it's natural that it'd rub off onto how he treats others. Exactly, that saying is perfect for this. The only people who can get you really angry in this world are the ones you love the most. Gerard may be slightly more sympathetic to her now, more aware of what she's been through, but don't expect niceties yet...he still has a long way to go! Okay, can I just start off by saying how much I LOVE Bilbo?! He’s such a heartwarming cutie!! Honestly, without him I think Sarah and Gerard would have started battling each other with the furniture or something. Ha! So starting at the beginning, it’s obvious that Gerard ‘rules with an iron fist’ and I couldn’t help but feel bad for Bilbo! I was mumbling to my screen “Let him have some, Jerk Face!” but I guess discipline IS important with dogs after all, but HOW THE HELL CAN HE RESIST PUPPY DOG EYES?! Anyhoo, I started cracking up when Sarah began testing him about cleaning up their plates, just imagining Gerard trying to stay calm with a twitching eye made me bark in laughter for some reason! I loved it! But god ‘Jerk Face’ couldn't have been a more appropriate name for him through most of this chapter!! However, there’s a part of my that loved how Sarah can irk such massive reactions from Gerard, especially when he says he normally has very good control over his temper, it makes me think back to that old saying that ‘There’s a fine line between love and hate’ and it makes me all the more excited to see what happens next!! I got butterflies in my tummy from the moment I found out they were going to stay in a cabin alone together, there’s just something so romantic and sexy out the concept, and felt it would build up to a moment and HERE IT WAS!!!! I DIED!! Okay, wait let me back track before my death. I’ll admit that this is probably one of my favorite chapters thus far because of the realization that slammed down on Gerard, I loved that the reality was right there for him to see. What he READ in Sarah’s case file, she LIVED, or hardly did anyway. It knocked him down a peg or two and honestly made me happy that he actually felt for her in a way, it made him seem less like a heartless robot and more like a human. I’ll admit though, I felt my face heat up and stomach swell when Gerard was gazing at her, beyond her scars and past and instead admired the beautiful woman Sarah was. My heart was beating so fast that I felt like I was about to have a heart attack, but what did me in was how Bilbo managed to calm her down doing what an adorable dog like him could do in the given situation. And what also made be chuckle was when Gerard ADMITTED DEFEAT! Well granted it was to his dog, but it’s still a victory, even if just a small one! Ha! Once again, you never cease to amaze me and I very much look forward in seeing what happens from no on between Sarah and Gerard, especially now that some part of him admits he’s attracted to her, even if only slightly!! AH I’M SO EXCITED!! xxoxoo

So I’ve missed commenting on two updates, I’ve read this chapter and I’m going to go onto the next one now!! Let me start off by just saying…UGH MICHAEL YOU DIRTY PIECE OF SHIT! Honestly, I don’t know how to feel right now! I want to slap the manipulative bastard RIGHT IN THE FACE! This mad man has such a way with manipulating Sarah, even me by extension, and I. HATE. IT! This chapter was simply mind-blowing and really just shows once again how Michael is just so manipulative and uses everything to his advantage, I actually started tearing up for Sarah as I could only imagine how she must have felt, being forced into something that you desperately don’t want to be a part of. I wish she’d realize her worth, maybe she could have avoided everything that happened to her, if only that were the case. It’s obvious that Sarah is somewhat ‘brainwashed’, I guess you could say, by Michael…the conniving bastard. Wonderful and tastefully messed up chapter. On to the next one I go!! xxoxoo

Okay, hun... Like I mentioned to you, I love the building tension between them!!!! I also love seeing Gerard's conflicted feelings! And I really loved the humanoid type feelings he had towards Sarah! I don't normally read bandfics, but this one caught my eye! I love crime stories so I knew this was going to be a good one. It's hard to imagine Mikey like this but that's what makes this story as intriguing as it is. The amount of imagery is astounding (the amount of detail you were able to put in with Sarah dying her hair was actually mindblowing. Not many people can do that with something so simple so I applaud you). I think they way Sarah and Mikey met is so cute but it kind of scares me that Mikey seemed to already know her name. This story also makes me panic. I was scared that Gerard was going to comply with Sarah!

I only read the first two chapters, so I'm on my way to read the rest! I can't wait to see what happens next! Great job! :D

Well wasn't that car ride just...pleasant? I can honestly say that for a good portion of the beginning of this chapter I wanted to smack Gerard upside the head, yes I do understand that Sarah may not be his favorite person at the moment but try to at least be civil! Then again Gerard admitted to being adamant about not being civil. I do agree that maybe comparing him to Micheal was an over reach but I can't really blame her, a close friend of mine was in an abusive relationship before she and her family moved here and she admitted to visibly flinching when someone would raise an arm at her, even if it was her own brother who she trusted very much. I'd want to sit in the back with Bilbo too if given the chance, mainly just because I love dogs hahaha. And I think you've probably broken my emotions by this point, I was basically blubbering reading about Sarah leaving her daughter at the airport and ironically 'The Ghost of You' began to play just two lines before I got to the memory part so that didn't help...at all, I could hardy breathe by the end of the scene (I'm an emotional person if you couldn't tell). I think Gerard's kind side is SLOWLY beginning to surface, if the fact that he felt slightly responsible for Sarah's crying, which I thought was kind of cute, but wanted to smack him, yet again, when he called her a 'spoiled brat'. I mean if I didn't like someone but knowing that they had gone through the things Sarah had I would at least try to show some compassion, especially if the person that had hurt them had done the same to me. I mean in my mind I feel as though Gerard is trying, even if only slightly, to demonize Sarah so he doesn't get 'involved' or 'attached' to her in fear of maybe being hurt? Huh...I want to know what happens next! Oh! And the cabin actually sounds really pretty, in my head (for some reason) I thought it'd ook like that cabin from Evil Dead...I have no idea why haha. To wrap it up I will leave you with two things my Dear! 1) I've already subscribed to your other story and am just itching to read it. 2) Mind blowing chapter!! I'm actually really anxious and excited to see what happens next! As always you never seem to fail to amaze me with your sheer talent!! xxx

I don't like how Gerard treats her. I think that he needs to calm down. That scene with Charlotte was so sad, it made me want to cry.
