I know in the summary that you said it was based on your own nightmares, but I still read it like an original fiction. And I was really interested in the idea of having three different dreams with the same ‘monster’ back to back like this—the whole ‘dream-ception’ thing. I’ve never had that kind of experience so I was definitely intrigued. And the way you wrote it was very disorienting, like a dream would be, yet detailed enough that I knew what was happening like it was my own. I was immersed into this experience and I was terrified of this man, of what he was going to do, of how far it was going to go. Especially with the first chapter. I can’t even imagine how terrifying that would feel. I’m also terrified of not being able to scream loud enough in a horrible situation, so your detail in both surroundings and emotions—that helplessness—invoked that fear and made it that much more personal for me as the reader.
As personal as this story was for you as the writer, I really enjoyed it so good job.
