Lol headcanon all you want. That's actually a really cute idea, I like it. And looking back, I agree that the ending is rushed a bit. I have the strong urge to fix it and I probably will after you announce the contest winners and such. Thanks so much for your input, I'm a big fan of your writing. :)

I totally forgot to comment on this but I'm finally getting around to dealing with my contest.

ANYWAYS, this was lovely but oh my god no the end. I feel like Jack was one of Santa's helpers. Legit. His mother is Mrs Claus. No but seriously I'm picturing him coming back into Alex's life after like a year like yo how you doing with surviving on your own you have a house this time that's good and Alex is all WHERE THE FUCK DID YOU GO I LOVED YOU and Jack's all WELL AL-FUCKIN-RIGHT COME HERE AND I'LL KISS YOU and yay.

I think maybe you rushed the getting-Alex-on-his-feet thing a little, it maybe made Jack disappearing less climactic but it was definitely nice and I'm glad Alex got off the streets ((and found Jack again it's my headcanon you can't stop me)).

Hi there little old me again! I quite enjoy your one shots to be honest! I really like the ending of it, even though he never saw him again he was given hope, a beacon of life. To me Jack seemed to resemble the voice inside our heads that whisper "be strong" when we mostly need it.
