I logged on this week and saw your comment on my story and then went to your profile and saw that you updated this! I did a re-read, as it's been a pretty long while since I did a full read through again and sometimes the stories I've read over the years kind of blur in my mind. My immediate thought was how much it reminds me of The Catcher In the Rye/J.D. Salinger, so I went back and saw my old comment where I said the exact same thing then too lol! Also saw where you confirmed that you were intentionally taking that route.

I'm so excited that you are writing this again! I'm elated that Peyton has her passport signed and is away from her shitty ass mom. I'm happy that someone is finally standing up for her and showing her the care she deserves and has never had.

Your writing is amazing and I so look forward to more updates. In fact - I just saw that you are active on wattpad and posted chapter 13 there, so I am going to go follow/comment/read there as well since Mibba is broken lol.

Thank you so much for coming back to this story! I actually just rewrote/edited the first few chapters today because there were some consistency issues when I went back and reread it myself. I’ve been writing this story for the last nine years so occasionally I forgot certain plot points and events, etc, since there were such large gaps in time between writing chapters. I’ll be updating soon, so I hope you come back to read again x

Ah i love this story! I loved it when I read it years ago and I reread it a few months ago and loved it all over again. I must be psychic, like i knew there was an update coming, haha. I really like the writing style, I feel like Peyton is my friend with the way she talks and thinks. I need someone to shut Peyton and Billie in a room and not let them out until they actually talk to each other. The progression is so fun to read and it feels just like high school. Can’t wait to see what happens at the show!

Hell fucking yeah an update Day instantly made when I got the email (for once it’s actually in my inbox jfc). Chapter was just as good as usual. I was glad as hell, you might say, that Billie’s finally getting his shit together and making moves >:)

Just coincidentally was checking my spam folder and saw that the update email was in there D: Unfortunately Mibba either seems to end up in my spam or not send me emails at all anymore :((( Otherwise I would’ve read this asap. Loved the lastest chapter, glad to see someone back!

I’ve only just seen this comment now, about a year later! I’m planning to continue writing this, I swear lol. Hopefully you still get notifications from Mibba because very few people use this website anymore for Green Day fanfics :( thanks for reading!

As someone who still gets notifications from Mibba once in a blue moon, I always get excited to see an update! There’s such few Green Day fics nowadays, it’s sad. But I just reread your whole story and I really think it’s great! You have such a good, consistent style that I feel like is perfect for the setting and the age of the characters. Love it! If you ever feel like posting more, I’ll be here to read it!

Aw thank you so much! Initially I planned to make Jesse and Lint have minor roles in the story and then I started to like their characters too much hahaha. I will update as soon as I can :)

You've returned!!!! This is definitely one of my favorite GD fics of all time. I just really like your involvement and use of all the characters, like making Jesse and Lint more of main characters than characters that pop up every now and again. Lovvvveeee this update! Can't wait to see more. :)
