Okay, I admit it. I read your short story and had to scope out the rest of your stuff. Weird? Maybe. I regret nothing. And I love this story! I have a soft spot for tour stories, even if I can't seem to write them myself, and this is hands down one of my favorites. I want to say more but really, all I can think about is wanting to know what happened with Kansas and Tyson, and why Brian's attitude has taken a complete one-eighty. I have my suspicions, but...I need more!

I can't say I blame her for being over the bar scene. I imagine it would get really old, really fast with their lifestyle. I know I'd miss the nights just curled up on a couch, chilling and watching TV. Hahaha.

I like that we're getting a bit more insight into the lives of Kansas and her band and how they're dealing with the tour. It gives a good break from the drama sort of unfolding with the Avenged boys and everything that happened last chapter. It's just good to see how they're all getting along being confined to a bus, especially seeing as they haven't toured before.

I look forward to seeing what the band looks like Also, I re-recommended your story because I feel it's not getting enough love. Hope you'll update soon

So I decided to check this out, and I'm really enjoying it! Love Kansas. She's gotta be one of my favorite main characters I've read in a while. The guys are awesome...and I love the slow buildup of sexual tension between Kansas and Brian, the way they joke and play around, but there's more than a hint of seriousness in some of the things said...it's great. Update soon!

I'm gonna comment as I read, coz it's my thing

Well, Tyson was a bit rude. And you cut it off before I found out what he wanted! Though I kind of already figure, but still! I get the technique by feeding us a bit, then switching it up... but argh! Hahaha.

Well, she's not making smart choices if she thinks it's safe to take herself back to the hotel alone. Especially when she's clearly had too much to drink. I suspect it's for a multitude of reasons, some being that she's stubborn and thinks she can take care of herself and probably because the encounter with Tyson has left her a little rattled and she doesn't want anyone to freak out about it. Although I think they have a right to, coz just the snippet I read was bad enough, but I get where she's coming from too. Wants to avoid drama.

Michael to the rescue! Woohoo!

Hmm. Well, I get Matt's concern... but honestly, I kind of feel like he's overeacting. I get that Kansas' evasiveness makes it seem a lot worse than if she just played it off and someone accidently grabbed her arm and she bruises easily, but honestly... I kind of feel like maybe Matt needs to cool it a bit.

Brian... well, I'm not sure what to think about his reaction. I think maybe he's distracted with his own issues maybe... or maybe he just feels like it's not that big of a deal, especially if she refuses to talk about it. I don't mean to make him sound like an ass, but honestly, maybe he feels like unless she's gonna spit the problem out, then what's he supposed to do? Then again, having said all that, it seems pretty clear he's already connected the dots and figured it's got something to do with Tyson... so maybe he's more angry about that and is trying to keep his calm? Just have to wait and see, I suppose!

As for concrit... well, I think maybe the closeness with Matt is a little much. Just a little. And why I think this is just because he carried her to the bus and I dunno, that feels a bit weird to me. I think maybe it would've been better if one of her own bandmates did it, since they'd be a lot closer and sort of have a right to be more brotherly than him. But having said that, I get that you probably did it so he could find the bruises, so it's just a minor thing. Over all, I like that she's developing friendships and relationships with the guys of Avenged, but I think at this stage, there'd still be some bigger boundries than there would be between her and her own band. Of course this is just my opinion! And I hope it hasn't offended you at all

I really like this, just sat down and read all seven chapters! :D I like the friendship that's developing between Kansas and Brian, it's slow and steady, not too much too soon.

I love how quickly they've all bonded, like Damsel, I would like to think that's how the boys are in real life :)

Ohh, I'm not getting good vibes from Tyson, at all. I don't think her mother phoned at all, I think it's just a ploy to get her alone. Maybe he's jealous about her and Brian getting friendlier. Whatever it is, I hope she'll be okay!

Naww, the little ritual they have going on between the two bands before shows is so cute. I like how they've all just settled in, like one big happy family. I like to imagine the guys would be like that in real life with their opening bands on tours, so it's awesome to read

It's cute how Brian and Kansas are slowly getting closer. I like that you've had him teaching her stuff, rather them getting too cosy too fast, y'know? It's more like they're building a friendship--with a bit of flirting thrown in--rather than just jumping straight into a romantic relationship.

I don't have a good feeling about the call from her mother. I also don't understand Tyson decision to call and tell her mum called, but refusing to tell her what she called about. Of course it's gonna distract poor Kansas from her show.

Ohh, well, doesn't Tyson sound like a bit of a creep right now? Now I'm wondering if it's all a ruse to distract her from watching Avenged perform... maybe coz he's jealous? I dunno. I'll keep reading. Haha.

Nope, I'm gonna stick with the feeling that Tyson is a creep and add that I hope Kansas takes one of her fellow band members with her to meet him. *shudders*

So, I stumbled over here from the Avenged Sevenfold club page and I’m glad I did! I’m enjoying what you’ve got for this story so far. I tend to comment as I read, so if my comment seems a little disjointed or random, it’s because I jot down my reactions and thoughts while I’m reading

I like that the first chapter is like an introduction to the band members and the manager, giving a basic rundown of how the lineup works and who does what. I like the way you set it out, because later on if I need to reference it (I sometimes get a bit confused when there’s a lot of characters, such as an original band as well as the boys, just keeping track of who’s who) it’s all right there and set out in plain English. Haha.

I like how you didn’t bring Brian into it instantly. I liked how it was Matt that she’s first interacting with and that it’s him offering the band a spot on their tour, rather than it being Brian. But I like when they do meet, it’s casual… like there’s no instant sparks or anything, it’s just a general meeting like with the rest of them. It feels very realistic, since she’s still trying to absorb everything and such.

It’s funny how she gets ‘Dorothy’ as a nickname… it’s weird for me to read her be called that, just because it’s my grandmother’s name. So it makes for a weird association. Hahaha.

”I’m Zacky V, baby!”

Bahaha! That made me laugh, just coz it could picture him proudly announcing that. Although if he said that to me, I’d probably giggle like a fool… damn guy is just too attractive. Haha.

I really found interesting how poor Kansas was at the beginning of chapter four. I mean, as she says, most people would be bouncing off the walls, crazy excited and maybe a little nervous about their first big show, but to me her reaction; her panic attack, seemed a lot more realistic. Especially since they are still so new to original scene, having been used to playing songs people are familiar with which is always going to get a much bigger reaction to playing unfamiliar stuff to people.

The way Brian handled it was very sweet and reassuring, which was all she needed. I liked that he wasn’t overly affectionate or familiar with her as such, since they do barely know each other. He was simply trying to pass along his experience and knowledge, while offering comforting words. I hate how some writers might have him act like he instantly knows how to calm her and what to say… he just spoke from experience and common sense, basically. Which was good.

Awwww! It was so cute how Matt was going through vocal warm ups with her and then Brian gave her one of his fedora’s. Those boys are adorable, I love how you write them!

They were the guys who inspired people to pick up a guitar or pair of drumsticks.

It was funny to read that line after seeing your comment in the Avenged Sevenfold club post where you said that they did just that for you… it’s nice to see you write what you feel, that you incorporate your opinions and such into your work.

Naww, that’s so touching and is, as Kansas says, possibly the biggest compliment a drummer could receive, especially one that looks up to Jimmy as much as Michael does. So cute.

"Hey, I feel really fucking tall right now."

Bahahaha! Smooth, Kansas…. Way to draw attention to the fact that Brian is still holding onto you, without making it awkward or weird. I like this girl. Hahaha.

Oh, the witty banter and flirtation has begun! I kind of hope it takes a little while for things to eventuate into a sexual relationship, only because they seem like they could build up some really intense and steamy tension the longer it goes on. Hahaha.

It’s like 3:40am here and I’m trying really hard not to laugh too loudly so as not to disturb those that are sleeping in my household, but when I got to the bit where Brian and Zacky texted themselves off of Kansas’ phone and Brian titled himself ‘sexy’, I couldn’t help it. My god, the man is cocky, but for the life of me, I can’t help but think it’s adorable. Hahahaha.

I’m really enjoying this story so far, which says a lot, because I’ve been hard pressed finding a story that really can hold my interest on here lately. It’s not because the stories I’ve tried to read are bad or anything, but they just don’t seem to be able to keep my interest. Yours, however, doesn’t seem to have that problem.

I don’t believe it’s slow paced at all… I like the speed at which things are evolving and I hope you’ll continue with it. Looking forward to the next update

They're all so adorable! But Brian though<3 I have to say, I'm more of a Matt girl but Brian is definitely giving him a run for his money in this story :3

A lot of them will be Tonight Alive, or bands very similar to that kind of sound right now. As they grow as a band their sound will mature. It will also be evident that Avenged's sound influenced them.
Hint: In the sequel, think Halestorm ;)

I couldn't stop grinning the entire time I was reading, oh dear lord.
This is one of my favorite stories that I've come across, it makes me really happy. Kansas is such a darling, and portrayed as a human instead of some high-and mighty being that would be content with performing to a crowd like that. I'm rambling, but wow. This is lovely. More!
