I'm intrigued. I can't remember ever reading a story like this and look forward to seeing what happens with them and how their lives play out. It's really early, so sorry if that's confusing. One thing I'd change is having space between the paragraphs, though. On phones/screens, it's just a big block of text now which can be hard to read.
