    @sheepcat;

    I might try to fix the ending up if I get some time this weekend. Thank you for all your comments on my stories.

    Just a general read-through should fix all the mistakes, just like with Heart Shaped-Bruises.

    One thing that was really annoying me throughout the reading of this fic was she was all "he doesn't take any notice of me" but then when he asks she replies "fine". And then they finally admitted they had both been in the wrong; I love it. I agree with MusicIsMyLight; you have some fantastic character development going on here. I also agree with her thoughts on the ending; most people don't just leave. I understand leaving it open, but the way which you've written it doesn't make it seem logical.

    But other than that, it's brilliant. Your description is vivid and paints a perfect picture in my mind of what is happening and, again, I can see how someone would be able to relate to the situation.

    I probably should have worked the ending better but I was kind of hoping people would come to a conclusion on their own. If that makes sense?

    Oh my goodness this is heartbreakingly beautiful. I love how for such a short story, you have such great character development. Without saying anything outright, you get an excellent sense of who Emily and Austin both are. And although I've luckily never experienced it, your portrayed abuse as excellently as I think you could've. Everything followed a logical path; there weren't any jumps, which I really appreciate.

    The only thing that was unclear to me was the end - did they ever call the police or anything? Or did Austin just punch Jayson out, kiss Emily, and then leave? It seemed odd.

    Anyway, this is an excellent story; props to you. :)
