Matt is such a sweetheart and his mom is a douche. Who just walks out on their family?!?!? And I wonder if Sadie's dad is trying to apologize for what he did to her. I mean I'm not saying that she should forgive him but I'm just wondering. Anyway, loved the update! Please update soon!!!

I'm sorry that you found my writing offensive, as it was not intended to be, but here's where Matt is coming from: he's been a hot-head for a very long time. Many kids are just born with a stronger temper than others, and because Matt has been so used to it or a while, it doesn't bother him (especially now that he has Sadie who, as you've learned, has helped calm him down substantially) as much any more. BUT I do get what you're saying. Having anger management issues is just as serious as having bipolar disorder or anxiety--I completely agree. But, from Matt's standpoint, he's gotten used to his hot-headed ways so to him, it's not that big of a deal. I hope this has cleared some things up for you, thank you for your comment! xx

They are so emotionally fucked up but it's so cute. I love them and I loved the ending to this chapter. I'm gonna say it again, Matt and Sadie are so cute together!!

And Matt could care less who or what he dad is
Matt's confusion over Sadie asking if he is okay was funny
Matt probably wouldn't shrug off being hot-headed

Holy shit, her father tried to murder her?!?! Wow. That was so wrong of her mother though, to throw that in her face. Which one is the adult again? Sadie's right, she's eighteen, which means she should be able to have friends over without asking for permission. How can she lay down the law when she isn't even around?

I think her mother is just upset that Sadie is growing up, and she thinks she won't be needed anymore. But that isn't true, a girl will always need her mother. She needs to apologise.

Okay, so her mother made assumptions about Matt and yes, she was in the wrong. Sadie was right to be irritated, but I'm going to play devil's advocate and say that she can't really throw around the "I'm 18" thing unless she's totally self-sufficient before she tries it. Still under her mother's roof, she has to at least take her mom's concerns into consideration.

HOWEVER!

Her mother should never have said that to her about her father. Never. That was way beyond harsh and totally unfitting of the situation. And wow! That's really intense. I can't believe he tried to murder his daughter! Jesus!
