This was just...heartbreaking (in the most wonderful way?) and I am completely aware of how odd that sounds.

But it was so real- it's something that anyone who has ever really been in a relationship can relate to. Sometimes, we do what we think will be best for the other person, even if it will lead to our own inevitable heartbreak. Except, sometimes...life is cruel and doesn't work out the way we planned, and we only really end up hurting ourselves in the end and this was a perfect portrayal of just that.

This was really a great piece, the emotion was real, and that, for me, is one of the most important things a writer can give to a reader.

That ending left me holding my breath and waiting for an answer.
